THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL…

TEXT: Isaiah 7:7,

THEME: GOD WILL GRANT YOUR PETITION

MEMORISE: For this child I prayed; and the LORD hath given me my petition which I asked of him. (1 Samuel 1:27)

MESSAGE: 

Hannah had been barren for several years before the encounter that led to the birth of her son Samuel. When the child eventually came, she was bold enough to declare that the Lord had given her what she asked of Him. This means that God has the power to give us whatever we ask of Him. Remember, Hannah had visited Shiloh each year; yet, her petition never received any answers. 

Along the line, she changed her strategy and made a vow.

Hannah was a born-again child of God. Don't forget: while Peninnah and her children made mockery of her and provoked her sore, she did not retaliate or go into a fight with them. 

She only saw such situation as an affront to her faith and she took the matter to God through prayers. Have you given up concerning your own petition because you are yet to see a physical manifestation to your prayers? The truth is that God will definitely answer you. But maybe like Hannah, you might need to change your strategy, not just by making a vow, but also by amending your ways when it comes to the things of God. Many people are lukewarm and lackadaisical when it comes to the things of God. 

They do not engage in any work in the house of God except that they come and go. Are you like that? You must change your strategy.

Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:

1. O God that granted Hannah her petition; give answers to my petition, in Jesus' name.

2. Any opposition to answers to my prayers; be rendered impotent, in Jesus' name.

3. Any power assigned to mock my destiny; receive disappointment, in Jesus' name.

4. Any power that will rise up to oppose, hijack or divert our G. O's declaration upon the lives of the Chosen people; be neutralized by the Holy Ghost, in Jesus' name.
