THEME: THOSE ENVIOUS FOR YOUR PROGRESS ARE DOOMED
MEMORISE: For he knew that for envy they had delivered him. (Matthew 27:18)

MESSAGE:

Envy is the feeling of having what someone else has. Therefore, when a person develops this feeling, it can elicit jealousy. That was the case of the Jews. Envy caused them to choose the death of Jesus Christ a righteous man over an armed robber.

They were so filled with envy of what Jesus had accomplished to the extent that they were ready to condemn Him no matter what. In the same way, the devil is usually envious of what God is doing in the lives of His people. This makes him to always try to attack them in order to rid them of the blessings of God upon them.

In the case of our Lord Jesus Christ, God knew that it was for envy that the Jews condemned Him. So, He delivered Him from the dead. Those that have written you off saying nothing good will come out of you will not succeed because God knows that their action is motivated by envy. Those that get angry whenever your name is mentioned; those that dismiss talks about you with a wave of the hand will be disappointed because their opinion about you is guided by envy.

Is anyone angry because God has promoted you, blessed you and favoured you? It is all the work of envy. Therefore, God will disappoint them because He knows that every negative attitude towards you is motivated by envy.

Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:

1. Any power envious of God's blessings and favour upon my life and family; be crushed, in Jesus' name.
2. I decree that those waging war against me because of my success shall be disgraced, in Jesus' name.
3. Any evil gang up and conspiracy against my destiny shall experience open shame and disgrace, in Jesus' name.
4. All those envious of what God is using our G. O, Mummy in the Lord and The Lord's Chosen ministry to achieve; shall eat the bread of sorrow and drink the water of affliction, in Jesus' name.
