THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL…

TEXT: Psalm 63:1-11

THEME: NOURISHMENT FOR THE SOUL
MEMORISE: And Mary said, my soul doth magnify the Lord. (Luke 1:46)

MESSAGE:

The Psalmist yearned to see the manifestation of the Lord upon his thirsty soul, for he was in a distressed situation that affected his soul, and to receive strength he resorted to praising the awesomeness of God Almighty.

The Psalmist came boldly to the throne of grace to draw strength in the time of need; he understood he could not put his trust on man and so depended totally on God. Today, many are passing through similar experiences.

There maybe news or situation that can weary the soul and in that condition one may lose courage.

Are you experiencing such situation? Strengthen yourself in the Lord. May be you have been informed that your health condition is incurable, or you are going through wilderness experience of barrenness, afflictions, poverty, delays or your situation now is that enemies surround you, or they are projecting premature death, or they say you will not make it in life and you are worried.
I want to inform you, there is no need to be anxious in such situation. Only God can intervene. Do you still acknowledge Him to help you? Go into praising the awesomeness of God, be lost in the atmosphere of worship, look not at the situation, for we work by faith and not be sight, strengthen your soul through the worship of His greatness.

If you are longing to know Him more, the scripture says, Blessed are they that thirst after righteousness for they shall be filled. Take time to immerse yourself in everything that makes for righteousness. They are the things that bring real satisfaction, confidence and strength to your soul and when He intervenes in your life, you will praise and worship Him more. That way, you fulfill your primary purpose of existence.

Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:

1. O Lord renew me spirit, soul and body, in Jesus' name.
2. Make my heart your dwelling place; build your throne in my life, in Jesus’name.
3. Uphold our Daddy and Mummy in the Lord by your spirit and power, in Jesus' name.
