THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL…

TEXT: Malachi 1:6-9

THEME: FEAR THE LORD AND HONOUR HIM!

MEMORISE: But I forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him. (Luke 12:5)

MESSAGE: 

God Almighty is the creator of the universe who retains the power to kill the body and dump the soul in hell and as such must be reverenced with all fear and trembling. He only must be honoured in our lives every day. Ordinarily, when you honour your earthly parents by your loyalty to them, they take delight in you and how much more our heavenly Father. Unfortunately, many people even in the church despise Him and do not fear Him. Many appear before Him distracted and offer Him unworthy offerings and yet expect him to bless them. God Almighty is not a beggar nor is He to be compared with any president or governor whom we reverence so much.

We must understand the awesomeness of our Father in heaven, No man can speak or act anyhow when in the presence of an important dignitary. Then why must one behave anyhow in the presence of God Almighty, who is also a consuming fire? God is interested in them that fear Him and honour Him. He was pleased with the sacrifice of Abel, but despised that of Cain. They that honour Him, He will honour. If you don't fear and honour God, He cannot bless you. Our honour to Him must begin by having the fear of Him and departing from all appearance of evil, giving worthy offerings, ensuring that we give and redeem our vows, preaching in season and out of season. Your nourishment from above this month is tied to the value you place on loving God by fearing Him and honouring Him with everything that is good and righteous.

Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:

1. O Lord God my Father, may I never lose the fear of you in my life, in Jesus' name.

2. Give me the divine wisdom to fear you and honour you, in Jesus' name.

3. I thoroughly repent and amend my ways from all forms of
dishonour towards your worship and service, in Jesus name.

4. Release abundant grace for meekness and humility upon our G. O and Mummy in the Lord, in Jesus name.
