THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL…

TEXT: Matthew 7:13-14

THEME: MANY ARE CALLED, BUT FEW ARE CHOSEN

MEMORISE: For many are called, but few are chosen. (Matthew 22:14)

MESSAGE: 

There is no doubt that the road to heaven is a narrow and straight gate. Jesus had warned us that few will find it. Indeed, the journey to heaven is a not an easy road. The bible has warned us that many are called but few are chosen. God's invitation to free salvation is opened to all mankind. He sent His Son to die for all and has given everyone that is willing to receive and believe in him the power to be called sons of God. What a wonderful gift. 

However as appealing as this sounds, many are not able to grab the benefits of this free and wonderful gift. While most want to be Christians they cannot give up what they regard as the 'pleasures of life'. They are reluctant to leave behind their old lifestyle. Their flesh still retains the upper hand. They believe life will be dull and boring if they follow Christ the way He demands of true believers. They also fear the rejection, persecution and mockery that their friends and family will likely subject them to if they follow Christ in truth and spirit. They are not willing to pay the price required to be a true follower of Christ. They rather listen to diluted teaching that does not require them to change their present lifestyle.

It is only a fraction of believers that are willing to pay the price of true discipleship that requires them to pick up their cross and follow the Master. The few that can crucify their flesh and worship God in truth and spirit are the ones that are true Chosen ones. We thank God that in The Lord's Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, we have been taught how to become real followers of Christ with heaven in focus. Are you not glad that you are among those that are chosen? We must however not take this great privilege for granted but rather strive to remain in faith till the coming of our Lord.

Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:

1. I thank you Lord for making me and my family Chosen. I thank you for choosing me as your own through your Son Jesus Christ.

2. Give me the grace to walk blamelessly before you so that I will not be a cast away in Jesus' name.

3. Dear Lord, thank you for the covenant you have with our G. O and I decree that it shall never be broken, in Jesus' name.

4. I pray for my G. O and Mummy in the Lord and their children that your grace will multiply in their lives, in Jesus' name.
