THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL…

TEXT: Psalm 91

THEME: HE WILL KEEP YOU SAFE
MEMORISE: Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. (Psalm 55:6)

MESSAGE:

It is easy to be fearful as one hears the news of what is happening all around the world. Every day it is a new story of terror and disaster. The heart of men has grown desperately wicked in these end times that when you hear of the atrocities committed nowadays you begin to wonder if indeed the perpetrators are human beings. Every day one goes out and comes back home safely is a reason to thank God. There is no safe place. Bombs are going off in the market places, robbers are attacking offices and homes, children and adults are being kidnapped off the streets, natural disasters are happening every day, fire outbreaks, accidents, murders, incurable and deadly diseases are spreading daily and economic recession etc.

Nevertheless, for people that are under God's protection we should not be like others that are fearful of what is happening around them. God has promised to be a place of refuge for those that trust and obey Him. He has promised us that we shall only see with our eyes the punishment of the wicked but that no harm will come near our dwelling. He has promised to keep our going in and coming out. He watches over us day and night so that no evil will befall us.

We have witnessed the fulfilment of this covenant in The Lord's Chosen. Countless number of testimonies abound of encounters with armed robbers where their weapons failed to harm Chosen ones after their declaration that they are Chosen. What about numerous people that fell into the hands of ritualists but were chased away when it became apparent that He that was in them was greater than the powers they were working with. Or is it the countless accidents that Chosen people came out not only as the only survivors but completely unscathed. How about kidnappers that have released countless members without collecting any ransom? It is therefore clear that when we happen to encounter any evil, it is an opportunity for the demonstration of God's power. We should therefore not be fearful when we happen to encounter any evil. We should remember His covenant of peace and blessing and be rest assured that He will see us through. He will keep us safe.

Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:

1. Dear Lord, I thank you for your covenant of peace, blessing and protection that you have with the Chosen ones and for always honouring your covenant in times of trouble.

2. Every spirit speaking fear and doubt, I silence you in Jesus' name.

3. I pray that you renew your covenant of peace and blessing with my G. O and Mummy in the Lord and grant them more grace and anointing in Jesus' name.
