MEMORISE: Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. (1 Corinthians 3:13)
MESSAGE:
Earlier this month, we talked about running the race to win a prize. It is not enough to be a Christian and just attend service and pray and read the word. God expects us to bear fruit according to the talent that He has given each and everyone of us. We are told that our work will be tested by fire on the judgment day. No true believer will want his work not to be able to stand the test of fire on that day. We must therefore make sure that whatever we are doing is being built on a solid foundation so that we can stand before God on that day as a workman who need not be ashamed.
Firstly, we must make sure that we start to bear fruit. Jesus expects us to be workers in His vineyard, rescuing lost souls and making sure they are well grounded in the word and sound teaching. We are not to be mere onlookers or bench-warmers or Sunday-Sunday worshipers. We must also be heavenly conscious always. We must not allow worldly distractions to take our eyes off our main focus of making heaven. When we focus on heaven we will be able to make choices that will keep us away from sin and temptation. We must always meditate on the word of God day and night so that we are aware of His expectations, commandments and promises. His word is our guide and manual which should be engraved in our hearts so that we will not go astray. We must pray without ceasing. Prayer grants us access to God and during prayer we make our request known, ask for help and worship Him. A prayer-less Christian is a powerless Christian. There is also the need for us to maintain righteousness and holiness at all times. God is holy and will not tolerate any unclean thing around Him. If we do all these things we should be able to stand before God and receive a crown of glory. He will welcome us into His rest and our works shall be able to stand the test of fire.
Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:
1. I decree that all my works shall be able to stand the test of fire on the last day, in Jesus' name.
2. I pray for the three fold vision and mandate of The Lord's Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries that we will be able to fulfill it before your coming, in Jesus' name.
3. I pray for my G. O and Mummy in the Lord that you will give them abundant grace and unction to fulfill the mandate in Jesus' name.
