THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL…THEME: GIVING IS A DIVINE PRINCIPLE THAT MUST BE OBEYED

THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL…
DATE: Tuesday September, 19th 2017.
TEXT: Luke 6:38, Galatians 4:17
THEME: GIVING IS A DIVINE PRINCIPLE THAT MUST BE OBEYED
MEMORIZE: "Every man shall give as he is able, according to the blessing of the LORD thy God which he hath given thee. " (Deuteronomy 16:17)

MESSAGE:

Giving implies extending something to another person. It is an act of love, which God has commanded believers to practice. God demonstrated His love in practical terms to humanity when He gave His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to die for the sin of the whole world. (John 3:16) So, He enjoins us to give. If He could give us His Son as atonement, it means that we must give without restriction. No matter what you give, you can never give above God. Giving attracts God's blessings. Nobody becomes poor because of giving. Rather, it paves the way for prosperity. It is a spiritual thing. While clamouring for God's blessings, you must not forget His divine instruction to give.

Many people have been stagnated simply because they refuse to comply with the above spiritual obligation. Some people believe that their salary is too small and therefore, cannot give. There are many who do not give on the ground that they do not have enough. You do not need to have enough in order to give. You only have to give according to your ability; as is commensurate with your income or earnings. It is wrong for a high income earner to give 'little.' So, whether you are poor or rich, you must give if you want God to bless you.

Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:

1. By the power and authority in the name of Jesus, I command the spirit of stinginess hindering me from giving to the work of God to depart out of my life, in Jesus’ name.
2. O God, as I give today in obedience to your word, let every blessing pronounced upon those that give be my portion, in Jesus’ name.
3. I ask for the grace and will-power to give. Let it come upon me, in Jesus’ name.
4. Let the power of giving possess the heart of every Chosen and affect The Lord's Chosen ministry in a positive way, in Jesus’ name.
