THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...

TEXT: 2 Chronicles 16:7-9
THEME: DO YOU HAVE A 'PLAN B'?
MEMORIZE: "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. " (Proverbs 3 :5)
The God we serve is Almighty, all Powerful, all knowing, ever Present and Everlasting. He therefore will not share His glory with anyone or anything. When God works, He leaves no one in doubt that it is only He that can do such thing. He raises the dead, heals terminal diseases, grants conception to the barren and women that have reached menopause, turns a dirty poor individual to a billionaire overnight, etc. All the wonders we have read about Him in the Bible days are taking place before our very eyes here in The Lord's Chosen. His power is present in every meeting to heal and deliver. We have seen countless number of dumbfounding testimonies of His wonderful works in the midst of the Chosen.
Yet, many people have not experienced His touch. They have been coming for years but still have not had a personal encounter and they are wondering if the testimonies they are hearing are true or not. The testimonies are definitely true. The problem is that many people seem to have an alternative to God or what some refer to as a 'Plan B'. They see God as one of their alternatives. If He does not come through they have another plan. For example one might be praying for divine healing but still rely more in the report of the doctors in foreign countries. They believe the doctors are knowledgeable and so, prefer to spend all their money seeking for treatment.
This way, they allow the doctor 's report to take root in their hearts. God often waits till you have run out of options and choose to wholly depend on Him before He moves to deliver you. In today's reading, we discover that once Asa stopped relying solely on God, his shield of protection was removed and he started to have wars and even became diseased in his foot, which eventually cost him his life. This is the danger of seeking for alternatives to God.
You must learn to rely solely on God and not on your own understanding in order to experience His deliverance. With God, you have no need for a Plan B.
Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:
1. O God my heavenly Father, give me the will power and personal discipline to rely solely on you, in Jesus' name
2. Any spirit speaking doubt and unbelief into my mind, be silenced in Jesus' name.
3. O God, take our G. O and Mummy in the Lord to higher levels of faith, grace and righteousness and cause them to solely rely on you in Jesus' name.
