THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...TOPIC: All THINGS ARE YOURS

THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...
DATE: Monday, April 17th, 2017.
TEXT: Luke 15: 21-31
TOPIC: All THINGS ARE YOURS
MEMORISE: “Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours.” (1 Corinthians 3:21)

MESSAGE:

Many are dying of lack in the midst of plenty. Hosea 4: 6 (a) reckons, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” A man bought a ticket for a boat cruise. After purchasing the ticket he did not have much money left so he decided to take along a lot of snacks like crackers, bread, groundnuts and the likes to snack on during the trip since he didn’t have much cash to buy food on the ship. During breakfast, lunch and dinner, he would lock himself in his room and snack on dry bread or crackers. This continued until the very last day of the cruise when he happened to meet an old friend that was also on the trip. After exchanging pleasantries, his friend asked how come he had not been seeing him during meal times. He replied that he did not have much cash so he usually snacked on the food he brought along with him. His friend laughed and said ‘the ticket you brought covered not only the trip but also the meals!’
Likewise in our text of today, we see the brother of the prodigal son feeling bad that his father threw a party for his brother who had wasted all his inheritance on frivolous living while he that had been faithful and obedient had not been given a goat to share with his friends. He was sad and dejected until his father pointed out that all he had was his for the asking. He was suffering in the midst of plenty because he lacked knowledge of what was rightfully his. Are you suffering in the midst of plenty because you do not know what the Father has in store for you? As children of the Most High God it is His desire to give us the kingdom (Luke 12:32). It is time for you to begin to claim your rightful place. God is set to make you fruitful and multiply.
Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:

1. I refuse to suffer in the midst of plenty in Jesus' name.
2. Dear Lord, open my eyes to the opportunities that abound and bless the work of my hands, in Jesus' name.

3. Because God has said it, I believe it and I am sure that settles it. I therefore decree and declare it that our G. O, our mummy in the Lord, their children and the entire congregation of The Lord’s Chosen ministry, are for sign and wonders, in Jesus' name.
