FRUITFULNESS AND MULTIPLICATION (SOWING & REAPING)

COMBINED SUNDAY SERVICE MESSAGE

TEXT Genesis 8:32, Galatians 6:7, Psalm 126:5 - 6, Ecclesiastics 11:1 - 6

TOPIC: Fruitfulness and multiplication: (Sowing and Reaping)

We should know that God cannot lie (Numbers 23:19) and He has promised to bless us and he will bring it to past. God has decreed that the law of fruitfulness is to sow, no one can reap or multiply without sowing. Whatever a man sow that shall he also reap. Those who have neglected this principle of sowing have been suffering, I pray we don’t neglect the principle of God in Jesus name.

For more insight, we shall consider the following points;

1. THE REASON OF SUFFERING LACK

The place we read before (Genesis 8:32), this means we should continue to sow. So many suffer lack because of not obeying the principle or the word of God (Deuteronomy 28:15 - 22). When a man is suffering from curses, there is no way such person can prosper. If you want to see the blessing of God, you must obey Him (Deuteronomy 28: 1 - 13, Isaiah 34:16, 1 Chronicle 28:8); this is because, it is only God that can give an increase in what you do (1 Corinthians 3:5 - 7).
Whatever we are sowing, it is God that will increase it (Psalm 75:6 - 7) and that’s why we need to obey the word of God. So many are suffering lack today due to lack of knowledge of the word of God (Hosea 4:6). Many have neglected the graceful of sowing and giving before multiply (Luke 6:38, Malachi 3:8 - 12). Some people are suffering because they have refused to sow, work or to pay tithe when others are sowing they will be angry (Ecclesiastics 11:4 - 6, Proverbs 14:23) and at the end, they will reap nothing.

2. WHEN WE ARE EXPECTED TO SOW

(Ecclesiastics 11:6) We are supposed to sow until the harvest time, don't say I have sown in the morning, I will not do again (Genesis 8:32). In the beginning, God labored to create all things (Genesis 1:1-5). At Early age, as we come to the knowledge of reasoning, let us not fold our hands, let us start early in whatever we are doing in life. don’t sleep while others are working, let us start early. If you want to give to the Lord, let’s make sure we give something that is worthy (2 Samuel 24:24) and we should offer willingly(1 Chronicle 29: 9 - 10). As we do this, in time of blessing, you shall be blessed in Jesus' name (Psalm 126:6, Galatians 6:7 - 9)

3. THE BENEFITS OF SOWING GOOD FRUIT AND SOWING BOUNTIFULLY

Whatever you sow you shall reap, if you sow good fruit you will reap good fruit and if you sow bountifully you shall also reap bountifully. As we sow to the Lord, we shall surely reap without measure (Exodus 23: 25 - 27, John 12:24). When we sow, we must wait patiently for the seed to germinate (James 5:7, 1 Corinthians 15:35 - 38) “You see you, that seed you sow, God will give it a body".  Before anyone can sow acceptable in the Lord, you must be in the Lord (Proverb 28:13, Isaiah 59:1 - 2), Sin hinders answers to prayers.
