THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...

DATE: THURSDAY, MARCH 2ND, 2017.

TEXT: 1 Chronicles 11:16-19, 1 Corinthians 16:9

THEME: THE WAY TO ACCOMPLISHMENT

MEMORISE: "Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee." (Genesis 12: 1-2)

MESSAGE:

A careful analysis of the Israelites experience in their wilderness journey to the Promised Land shows that most of their possessions and blessings were surrounded by strong hurdles or hindrances, which they had to overcome before they could possess their possessions. For example, when God called Abraham who was already familiar with his father's environment to come out of his father's house to a hitherto unknown place. Abraham obeyed. In the course of his journey, he prospered greatly. The hurdle before Abraham and the blessings of God aside from obedience to God's instruction was also that he had to leave his comfort zone and leave certainty for uncertainty. Another example was Adam who could have remained in the Garden of Eden with his wife if he could overcome the temptation of disobeying God's command to keep away from the tree of life, which he failed.

Consequently, if you want to breakthrough and possess, you must follow the example of our of father in faith. Abraham obeyed God and possessed his possessions. Just as those before us received God's promises, we are also in line for the same promises (Matthew 6:33, John 3:3-5, 16, John 10:10b). Our calling is also with certain conditions given by God such as living a holy spiritual life. The temptation to disobey these instructions is standing before us as strong hurdles to the promises of God. Therefore, if you are to possess your possessions, you must break through the hurdles by obeying God and keeping to His commandments.

Worship/praise God and then take the following prayer points:

1. Any hurdle causing me to disobey the commandments of God: be uprooted, in Jesus' name.

2. God in heaven, I ask for the enabling grace to help me so that I can be able to obey your instructions, in Jesus' name.

3. O God, where I am not qualified because of my weaknesses and inadequacies; by your mercy qualify me to possess my possessions, in Jesus' name.

4. Any hurdle standing on the way of our G. O and The Lord's Chosen ministry from accomplishing the three-fold vision and 10 billion souls mandate; be uprooted out of the way, in Jesus' name.
