TEXT: Matthew 11:28, Isaiah 32:18-19, Exodus 10:22-23
THEME: WHY DON’T YOU RUN TO GOSHEN?
MESSAGE:
“23 And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt. 24 So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as there was none like it in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation. 25 And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field. 26 Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.” (Exodus 9:23-26)

Goshen is an area in the northeast sector of the Nile Delta. It was occupied by the Hebrews from the time of Joseph until the Exodus. Pharaoh King of Egypt assigned Goshen to Joseph’s family when they entered Egypt. While the entire Egypt was under the Holy Ghost siege during that period in question, the bible says that there was no ‘hail’ in Goshen where the children of Israel dwelt. By implication, God’s divine protection rested upon the children of Israel in Goshen, but eluded the Egyptians whose country was virtually reduced to rubbles.
Today, there are varying degrees of ‘hail’ going on in our nation and even the world over. There is the ‘hail’ of terrorism, kidnapping, ritual killing, armed robbery, prostitution, inflation, economic recession etc. Our nation has been hit by a spate of unparalleled violence, inflation, recession, religious extremism and so on since it became a nation. People are slaughtered like goats and chickens here and there. Everything seems to have spiraled out of control. Yet, the Chosen ones are preserved like the Israelites in Goshen. Today, you have a choice to make. As a Chosen, you are protected from all the attacks of the enemy. So, be a Chosen and remain a Chosen and it shall be well with you.

1. O thou God of the Chosen, I beseech you; help me to become a Chosen indeed, in Jesus' name.

2. O God my Father, preserve me from any danger like you preserved the Israelites in Goshen, in Jesus’ name.
3. I decree that no evil sweeping through the land shall come near my dwelling in Jesus’ name.
4. Any spiritual ambush laid against our G. O, our mummy in the Lord or any of their children, back fire, in Jesus’ name.
