HOUSE CARE FELLOWSHIP MESSAGE
DATE: SUNDAY, 4TH SEPTEMBER, 2016.
TOPIC: THOSE THAT SHALL SUFFER PERSECUTION
TEXT: Matthew 10:25; 2 Timothy 3:12
As many who are truly born-again or have become the disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ and have made up their minds to serve God in Spirit and in truth without compromise, shall suffer persecution (Matt.5:10); so, the righteous shall suffer persecution.
We shall consider the following sub-headings:-
1. The Reasons And Our Attitude Toward Persecution
2. Application And The Effect

1. THE REASONS AND OUR ATTITUDE TOWARD PERSECUTION
We all should know that the devil has been cast down from heaven to earth; and he and his demons have made the world to be full of evil or wickedness (John 10:10; 1 John 5:19); his actions are evil (Rev.12:7-12). So, when he deceived Adam and Eve and took humanity away from God; he thought that we can never be free again and when our Lord Jesus Christ came and set us free who believed in Him. The devil, his demon and human agents began to persecute and afflict true believers in many ways (2 Tim.3:10-12). They persecuted Christ Jesus our Lord and the Apostles (Matthew 11:18-19; Matt 12:24; Acts 6:8-14; Acts 5:18, 40; Acts 8:14). We shall not see persecution as evil or strange to us; what we have to see is a sign that we are true children of God and rejoice (Acts 5:41-42; Acts 8:47); and we should do more exploits.

2. OUR APPLICATION AND THE EFFECT
When we see our persecution as a matter of true conversion and identify with identity with Christ Jesus our Lord, we shall rejoice and serve God more and win many souls (Matt.5:10-12). We shall also be encouraged and bear more fruits (John 12:24); receive our crown in at last (2 Timothy 6:6-8).
