JULY SPECIAL SUNDAY SERVICE MESSAGE

TEXT: Matthew 7:13-14, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
TOPIC: THE NARROW WAY TO HEAVEN
Heaven being the aspiration of every child of God, should be the most important issue being studied in any church of God. The reason being that no matter what we acquire in this world without making heaven at the end of this life, it shall profit us nothing. (Mark 8:36-37)
I want to let you know that there is nothing you can use to exchange your own soul, we must do away with whatever that will make us miss heaven (Mark 9:43-48). So we should endeavor to know the way to heaven and don’t allow anything to distract us.
For better understanding of the message, we shall consider the following sub-headings;
1. HEAVEN THE ASPIRATION OF MANY AND THE UNFORTUNATE SITUATION
Every believer including serious and unserious, killers, armed robbers, prostitutes, other religions and the wicked people, all wants to make heaven at the end of their life (Luke 13:24) but it will not be that easy ‘cause the way is a narrow way.
If you must make it, you must live your life according to the will of God come what may. I want to let you know, if you must make heaven there must be fruit meet for repentance (Matthew 3:1–9), you must live a life that pleases God.
Many believers went back when truth is preached to them just as of old when Jesus told the disciples the truth (John 6:60-66, Matthew 19:16–22). I want to let you know, if you must enter heaven, you must be ready to obey in totality of the truth, as long as it is the will of God. No matter the kind of work you think you have done for God (Matthew 7:21–23), if you are not totally righteous in all your doings, heaven is not for you.
Since the inception of this church, many have come, many have heard the truth and left because they are not living right and also because of the hard message being preached here. (Revelation 20:11).
I want you to examine your life and pray that your name is written in the book of life, we must not be careless of our Christian life. Heaven is a holy place and cannot accept any iota of sin (Isaiah 35:8–9, Ephesians 5:27) there shall be no any kind of unrighteous in heaven because the church that shall be raptured is a church without blemish or wrinkles (Hebrew 12:14, Revelation 21:8, 1 Corinthians 6:9 –10). Anybody living a careless life should stop and think about it because, they are trading in a dangerous path and such cannot inherit the kingdom of God. God has said it and cannot lie.
2. THE COUNSEL OF THE LORD AND THE RESPONSE
Our Lord and Jesus has counseled us that the way to heaven is a narrow way (Matthew 7: 13–14) and we must take heed, remember that it is only righteous person that shall enter there (Matthew 5:8, 48, 1 Thessalonians 5:23, Isaiah 35:8–9). Let us strive to enter; we must not do our own will but the will of God.
Anyone that cannot obey the word of God, living life the way he like, such person should forget about heaven. Jesus came to the Earth to do the will of God (Hebrew 10:7, Hebrew 7:26), He was not living anyhow and we must follow his footsteps.
My prayer to every one of us is that we will live to please God and at the end make heaven at last in Jesus' name. It is the will of God to give us the kingdom (Luke 12:32, John 14:1 – 3). There is nothing to fear. If we continue in faith and obey God, heaven will be our potion in Jesus' name.
We should respond to this message by hoping in God and going beyond earthly possessions (1 Corinthians 15:19). Move out from the broad way and walk in the narrow way, don’t do evil because multitude are doing it, amend your ways.
CONCLUSION:
For sinners and backsliders, they should repent and give their lives to Jesus Christ; accept Him as their Lord and Saviour (Romans 10:13; Proverb 28:13; John 3:16, 3; 1 John 3:8; 1 John 5:17; John 8:36; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Matthew 6:33; Matt.11:28).
