THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...

THEME: HEARKEN UNTO THE LORD
TEXT: Isaiah 1:18-20
18. Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
19. If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:
20. But if ye refuse and rebel, ye shall be devoured with the sword: for the mouth of the LORD hath spoken it.
MEMORY VERSE: "32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. 33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil. " (Proverbs 1:32-33)
MESSAGE:
Turning away refers to backsliding from the truth. It is usually very disastrous to the point that it can even bring about death. That is why the word of God sounds it out clearly so that people will weigh their options and make amends.
On the other hand, the gains of obedience to the word of God are multidimensional. Those who hearken to God's words shall dwell safely in the land. Though they hear rumours of evil, they shall not be afraid.
You need to be mindful of the degree to which you strive to acquire the materials things of this world to the detriment of your soul. You must not allow worldly pursuits to be the only thing that matters in your life or else those things you are pursuing might turn out to be the reason why you will not make it at last. God forbid! The Lord is calling you today. So, hearken unto Him.
Sing a few praise/worship songs. Pray and thank God and then ask for forgiveness of sins and take the following prayer points.
Prayer points:
1. Any spirit of backsliding assigned to derail my salvation; be disappointed, in Jesus' name.
2. Any spirit of the world ministering to me the need to acquire wealth and riches to the detriment of my soul; receive termination, in Jesus' name.
3. Any spirit from the pit of hell already programmed for my destruction, be destroyed, in Jesus' name.
4. Lord, help me hearken unto your word, in Jesus' name.
5. By your grace and power, I shall reach my goal in life, in Jesus' name.
