THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...

DATE: WEDNESDAY 24TH FEBRUARY, 2016.

THEME: FOLLOW-UP WILL ENCOURAGE & KEEP THE BRETHREN

TEXT: Acts 14:21-22
21. And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch,

22. Confirming the souls of the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

MEMORY VERSE: And some days after Paul said unto Barnabas, Let us go again and visit our brethren in every city where we have preached the word of the Lord, and see how they do. Acts 15:36.

MESSAGE:
Every time we organize crusades or hold our regular fellowship meetings, many new comers join us in the meeting but after that meeting, we do not properly care for them through follow-up. In 2015, we organized crusades almost every two weeks.

In these crusades, thousands of new members joined us, how many of them have we properly followed up to make sure that they are established in the Lord? Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, evangelists go out for publicity and bring many people, only for us to allow them go back to the world after their first visit. Even our old members need visitation. We need to do proper follow-up and visit our brethren to know how they fair spiritually and otherwise.

In our text today, Paul and Barnabas had to go back to the cities they had preached before to confirm whether the disciples were still In faith, they encouraged them to continue in faith and that through much tribulation, they will enter into the kingdom of God.

Do you know that some people are easily discouraged Immediately tribulation comes? But with proper follow-up and visitation, before somebody thinks of going back, he/she will be followed-up and counselled and prayed with, and before you know It, the person will pick up again.

Crusades are good because there is no more time but how many of the thousands that come to the crusades do we nurture and establish in faith? Some of our old members have stopped coming yet you don't know why or what is happening to them.

Bible says you should be your brother's keeper. Is this how to be your brother's keeper? Some of you cannot do visitation even in your own street, let alone going to somewhere that is far. If you fail to do follow up and visitation, how do you hope to retain our members? Through today's devotional, seriously pray and ask for repentance in this area.

PRAYER POINTS:
Now pray that the grace to do visitation and follow-up will be given to you.

Ask God to help you be your brother's keeper.

AMEND YOUR WAYS: If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8). If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness, kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent. Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism? Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4) Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce (A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman? Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.

LET'S PRAY: If you want to give your life to JESUS pray this short prayer with me: Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins. Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore. I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior. I surrender my life to you. Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven. AMEN!
