DAYS: WEDNESDAY, 11TH NOVEMBER 2015
THEME: POSITION OR PROMOTION DOES NOT COME FROM MAN
TEXT: Psalm 75:6-7
6 For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
7 But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
MEMORY VERSE : Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17
MESSAGE:
God is the beginning and end of all things. Before a man is born, God has already ordained what that man will be and the position he will occupy. That position is not dependent on your education, height, gender, race etc. Genesis 25:23 says “And the Lord said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people; and the elder shall serve the younger.”
The above statement is from the Lord and He described the two sets of people that would be born. Note; these two brothers – Esau and Jacob were not yet born but position has already been assigned to them by the Almighty God – the creator of all things. And as He said it, so shall it be. No one can alter or add to it. It was not by their righteousness because at this time, they were not yet born. What is this telling us? This is telling us that whatever position a man is, is by grace of God. It is not by your righteousness or any special thing you must have done. That is why you need to be most careful what you do with your position because it is not by your power or education. It is an unmerited favour from God. Therefore, don’t use that position to witch haunt or wicked others. Remember, the Almighty God that placed you in that position is watching you. Don’t think you are better than others that is why you are in the position. No! Rather it is a grace or gift.
Every good gift comes from above.
Having this knowledge at the back of our minds, we should desist from striving for position because no amount of manipulation or witch haunting can give you any position if God has not ordained it for you. Even if you kill the person in a particular position in order to take over that position, if God does not ordain that position for you, you will not get it, instead it will be given to another person. Therefore, depend on God for everything, including that position.
PRAYER POINTS:
⚫Pray that God will give you position He
has ordained for you.
⚫Also pray for excellence in the position
you find yourself.
AMEND YOUR WAYS: If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8). If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness, kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent. Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism? Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4) Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce (A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman? Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.
LET'S PRAY: If you want to give your life to JESUS pray this short prayer with me: Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins. Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore. I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior. I surrender my life to you. Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven. AMEN!
