THEME: THE JUST SHALL LIVE BY FAITH

TEXT: Habakkuk 2:2-4
[2] And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

[3] For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

[4] Behold, his soul which is lifted up is not upright in him: but the just shall live by his faith.

MEMORY VERSE : Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.
Hebrew 10:38

MESSAGE:
Unshakable faith is one of the attributes a good Christian must have. If we flash our minds back to the time of Abraham, when God called him, God just said "Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee."

The above statement was the only statement God said and Abram obeyed without asking questions.

Note; Abraham had not walked with God before. Suddenly He told him to leave his country, kindred and his father's house. These are those that have been part of Abraham's life yet when God said he should leave them, he did not doubt the genuineness of God and His promise but obeyed. At the end, we saw where Abraham's faith and walk with God landed him.

He was never disappointed. God blessed him beyond his imagination. Today, Abraham is no more but his acts of faith are still reverberating anywhere the Bible is read. As a Chosen, you need to have implicit faith in God, knowing that He is not a man and whatever He promises, He is able to fulfill it.

The text for today shows the vision that prophet Habakkuk saw. However, the vision would not happen immediately but for an appointed time. It does not matter how long the time will be. The assurance is that it must surely happen. There is no variableness with God. Whatever He promises, He will surely bring it to pass. And so if God have given you any vision, be it known to you that He will surely bring that vision to reality. It is the faith you have in Him that He will make you to wait for the fulfillment of the vision.
Our text counsels that even if the vision tarries or prolongs, wait for it. As far as it is from God, it will surely come to pass. Therefore, anchor your faith in Him because the righteous shall live by faith.

PRAYER POINTS:
¶ Pray that you will not hurry away from the vision or promise of God

¶ Ask God to increase your faith in Him so that you can trust Him in all things.

AMEND YOUR WAYS: If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8). If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness, kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent. Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism? Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4) Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce (A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman? Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.
LET'S PRAY: If you want to give your life to JESUS pray this short prayer with me: Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins. Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore. I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior. I surrender my life to you. Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven. AMEN!
