TUESDAY REVIVAL HOUR - 13/10/2015.
TOPIC: OCCUPY TILL I COME PART 2
TEXT: Joshua 1:3-5, Luke19:13, 2John vs 8, 1Peter 4:10.
Having seen from Part 1 of this message, that the Lord wants us to occupy in all the blessings and promises which He has given to us and to fulfil our ministry, we shall therefore consider the ways of occupying and increasing more and more, i.e remaining above only and not beneath. We shall also see the resultant benefits of occupying in our blessings.
So for better understanding, we shall study tonight's message under the following sub-headings:
1. The ways of Occupying and Increasing and
2.Our Benefits.
POINT 1: THE WAYS OF OCCUPYING AND INCREASING: Matthew 13:12. For us to occupy in whatsoever God has given to us, either in fulfilling our ministry or occupying in other gifts and blessings we have received, it must be by the grace of God. The first thing to do is to ensure that God is with us by maintaining a right relationship with Him (Matt 6:33, Romans 8:31, Phil 4:13, 1 Corinthians 10:4-6, Hosea 5:6, John 8:32.)
Other ways we can Occupy and fulfill Our ministry are:
¶ praying consistently (Luke18:1-8),
¶ Fasting (Matt 4:1-2),
¶ Living right (John14:30),
¶ Manifesting faith (Ephesians 6:16) and
¶ Abiding in the wisdom of God (Proverbs 4:7, Proverbs 24:3)
As we do all these, we shall occupy till the master comes in Jesus name. Also when we make use of those talents or gifts and blessings which we have received, we shall not lose them, but retain them and increase more and more (2 Timothy 1:6, Luke 6:38).
Above all, we must abide in the ministry which we have received and meditate on our blessings, we must not neglect them, and as we engage ourselves in these things, we shall never be barren, unfruitful or lose the things we have received, instead we shall increase more in Jesus' Name (1Timothy 4:13-16, 2 Peter 1:8)
POINT 2. OUR BENEFITS:
When we apply all the principles we have surveyed above, we shall surely retain our blessings and fulfill our ministry. Remember, if you know these these things, happy are you if you do them (John 13:17). As we occupy in our gifts, ministry and talents, more shall be given to us in Jesus' name(Matthew 13:12).
Again, as we get committed to the Lord, He will be committed to us and before we ask, He will answer (Isaiah 65:24). We shall flourish in every area; we shall be above only and never below; we shall be the head and not the tail (Job 22:21-30). Also, we shall be over comers and winners and never losers (Deuteronomy 28:2,13).
Finally brethren, if you are here and not born again, and want to occupy but have not received anything, give your life to Jesus Christ and ask for anything you need, spiritually, physically, materially or financially, it shall be given to you (John14:6, John3:16, 1 John 3:8, 1John5:17, Proverbs 28:13, John1:12, Romans 6:23, Matthew 6:33, John10:10).
