THE CHOSEN DAILY DEVOTIONAL...

THEME: THE GREATEST IN THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN
TEXT: Matthew 18:1-4
1 At the same time came the disciples unto Jesus, saying, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
2 And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the midst of them,
3 And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom of heaven.
4 Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
MEMORY VERSE: And of some, that Elias had appeared; and of others, that one of the old prophets was risen again. Luke 9:8
MESSAGE:
The strife for position has torn apart many brethren and churches. Even as we speak now there are some churches that are in court because of strife or contention for position. These are the people Bible described as saints who are supposed to judge fallen angels, now they go to court where unbelievers judge their case, is that not abomination? In the same way, are there not some brethren among us who are in contention for position. “I am a leader, you are not a leader etc” you are in contention for leadership while the church of God is suffering.
It was the same scenario with the disciples of Jesus Christ in our text above, however, the master was still with them and so they quickly brought the matter to Jesus and Jesus told them “Except they be converted and become like a child, they cannot enter the kingdom of heaven." Why did the master use a child as an example? A child has no hidden agenda. Whatever you tell a child to do, he will do it. A child does not bear grudge for anybody. In fact, after scolding or beating a child now, the next minute, the child is around you desiring to play with you.
A child is naïve and cannot quarrel with anybody. And so the master was right in using a child for those that will make heaven.
I counsel you today to become like a child in serving this God so that you will qualify for heaven. Moreover, the master made us to understand that the greatest should be a servant. Therefore you need to come low and be a servant.
PRAYER POINTS:
* Pray that God will help you to destroy every spirit of contention working against your life.
* Pray for humility in service.
AMEND YOUR WAYS:
If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8).
If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness,
kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent.
Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism?
Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4)
Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce
(A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman?
Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ.
LET'S PRAY:
If you want to give your life to JESUS pray this short prayer with me:
Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins.
Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore.
I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior.
I surrender my life to you.
Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven. AMEN!
