THEME: BEWARE OF LIFE'S BRUTAL ENEMIES
Text: Ephesians 6:12-16 " For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the ruler of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to stand. Stand therfore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel; Above all, taking the shield of Faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

There are what I call life's brutal enemies which buffet the children of God and try to weaken them spiritually so that their faith will wane and they become a prey to the enemy. These include fear, discouragement, disappointment, depression, setback, poverty, harsh business environment, bad Family background, unfriendly friends; envy.... The list is endless.
I cannot imagine what life would look like without these challenges because they exist to make us, strenghten our faith in God. From the beginning, God never failed to remind us that we have a common enemy whose ambition is to distract us from the promised Land. When Satan deceived Adam and Eve through whom sin entered the world and corrupted God's good creatures, his aim was to ensure that the couple never enjoyed the relationship that existed between them and God.
That is why you must not lose your faith when you face trials. Please, read the text over again and see the nature of brutal enemies that confront us on a daily basis.
Our confrontation with this enemies entail wrestling: " For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers, against the ruler of darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places".

One way of keeping away from these is by living a life of holiness and righteousness. When you keep away from sin, you are not within the radar of the brutal enemies. It helps you operates within the watchful eyes of God whose contact with you is renewed on a daily basis through prayer, service and supporting the work of God.
Another way of keeping off the axis of the brutal enemies operation is by not patronizing representatives of principalities and powers for solution to life's problem. When you include the 'Babalawos', 'Prophets', 'Prophetesses', 'Prayer Merchants', 'Native Doctors', and others. They are agents of brutal enemies. When you enter, you may not be able to come out of it.

* Thank God for the assurance of His protection in the midst of brutal enemies.
* Remember brethren that are passing through persecution brought about by the attack of brutal enemies.
