THEME: A CARNAL MAN IS AN ENEMY OF GOD MEMORY VERSE: Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God. James 4:4
TEXT: Romans 8:5-7 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the
things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God:for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. MESSAGE 1 John 2:15 says, "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world..." A carnal man is full of worldliness. He is still in the dark and has never seen light at all. Every discussion of a carnal man is all about worldliness. He has no life of God in him and he is full of lust of this life. In fact Bible describes a carnal man as an enemy of God. And so when he he is an enemy of God, how can he please God? Brethren, many people are in the church but they are still very carnal. It is very dangerous to appoint such people into any position because they will be a set back to spiritual project. Carnality is the cause of several problems in the church. While others are building, carnal people are busy scattering. Preaching about heaven and what to do to make heaven is like folk tale to a carnal man. His concern is what do we do to eat good food or ride a better car or live in a good house or travel overseas. A carnal man sees prayer, vigils, worker's meeting etc as a waste of time and energy. To him it is do what you can, but cannot let his flesh suffer. And so a carnal man cannot please God. Are you in that category? You need to repent It is time to hate the world and the things of the world. If you place your trust in the world, it will fail you as it failed several people in time past. What do we talk about? Is it the fashions of this world? It has failed, automobile technology (latest cars etc) beauty/handsomeness, architectural designs (houses) etc they have all failed. Can you drive the cars of 1960's now? What about the Most beautiful women of 1960s/70s if they are still alive, are they still beautiful? So you better repent and turn away from carnality, for they that walk by the spirit are the sons of God. PRAYER POINTS:
* Pray earnestly and mortify the desires of the flesh in you.
* Pray that you become a friend of God from today by being a spirit man/woman. AMEND YOUR WAYS:
If you are not born again you must do something as a matter of urgency. He that commits sin is of the devil (1 John 3:8). If you are into lying, cheating, bitterness, keeping malice, pride, manifesting anger, quarreling, unforgiveness, hatred, envy, contention, strife, gossiping, taking or giving bribe, selfishness, kidnapping. If you are into masturbation, fornication, adultery, prostitution, abortion, lesbianism, homosexuality, you need to repent. Are you into idolatry, do you make or use charms, rituals, bow down to images, Are you into occultism? Do you smoke cigarette, cocaine, heroine? Are you lusting, covetous, alcohol drinking, divorcee or into worldliness?, you must stop bleaching your body, or painting your lips, eyes, fixing attachments, weave-on, earrings (Gen 35:2-4) Are you one of those that put on nude dresses, short skirts, transparent dresses to seduce (A seducer is not a Christian) do you wear trouser as a woman? Repent and give your life to Jesus Christ. LET'S PRAY:

Almighty God, I come unto you in the name of Jesus. Father I confess that I am a sinner. All my sins I confess to you. I am very sorry for all my sins. Lord I promise you that from today I will never continue in them anymore. I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose again on the third day for my justification. Almighty God, use the blood of Jesus to wash my sins away. Lord Jesus, come into my heart, be my Lord and Personal Savior. I surrender my life to you. Cancel my name from the book of death and give me grace to make Heaven.
